Tally on your PC

Your ledgers, bills, dues and stock from Tally, read every 15 minutes.

Keep Tally open with your company while you do this.

Steps

  1. On the PC where Tally runs, open getcatchup.in → Connectors → Tally and press Connect Tally.
  2. Download the CatchUp program (catchup-agent.zip).
  3. Right-click the zip, choose Extract All. Then right-click Install.bat, choose Run as administrator (if Windows warns: More info, then Run anyway).
  4. Type the code the page shows (GAL-…) in the program. It works once, for 30 minutes.
  5. When the page says Found your companies, press Confirm companies and confirm which are yours.

How you know it worked

The page says Connected. CatchUp reads your Tally every 15 minutes while it is open. and your CatchUp group says your books are connected.

If it does not work

Tally is not answering

In Tally: F1 Help > Settings > Connectivity, set TallyPrime acts as to Both, port 9000 (Tally.ERP 9: F12 > Advanced Configuration). Keep Tally open with your company. The program tries again within 15 minutes.

Tally answered, but no company is open

Open your company in Tally; the program reads it within 15 minutes.

The code expired

Press Connect Tally again for a new code.

It asks for administrator

Right-click Install.bat and choose Run as administrator.

The program could not reach CatchUp

Check the PC's internet, then run Install.bat again.
